Roxete Fan, Neil Curran, told us a bit about why he liked them so much:
The first thing that got me liking them was Marie's (the lead singer's) powerful voice. She sings with such raw emotion, and is not always note perfect, but often improvises, and seeing them live in concert really cemented that first impression, when I realised that not only was she a fantastic live singer, but also a great performer. She knows how to work a crowd!
Since 1989, when I saw clips of a couple of their songs on TV. I rushed out to find their album, but at that time could only find the LP in Littlewoods. (They had kind of been a one hit wonder in the UK with "The Look", and their next 2 singles flopped but "It must have been love" reversed the album's fortunes in 1990)
